Clinical Intern, Intensive Treatment Team (Homebased and STAY SAFE Programs)

Position Summary

Join WellPower's Intensive Treatment team and gain hands on clinical experience providing trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. This internship is embedded within Homebased and STAY SAFE services, which provide short term, stabilization focused interventions for youth experiencing acute mental health needs, including suicidal ideation or recent suicide attempts. Services are primarily delivered in homes, clinics, schools, and other community settings. We are seeking a Master's level intern in Social Work or Counseling who is interested in intensive family work, crisis stabilization, and community based mental health. The intern will have the opportunity to provide individual therapy, family therapy, crisis support, safety planning, psychoeducation, and case management services under close supervision.

Duties & Functions

Following an initial period of orientation, training, and shadowing, the intern will participate in core clinical services provided by the Homebased and STAY SAFE programs. Duties may include: The intern will receive a minimum of one hour per week of individual clinical supervision and may participate in group supervision, case consultation, and agency wide trainings. Training in evidence informed approaches, including specific suicide interventions, will be provided as appropriate to the intern role.
