Job Description:

This recruitment will be used to fill 50 part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) for an ENG+ Undergraduate Learning Assistants (ULAs) at Oregon State University (OSU) in the College of Engineering (CoE).

This application is one step in the application process, which also includes responding to a survey sent to engineering undergraduate students May 18, 2026, asking for information such as past experiences, interests, and availability.

The Undergraduate Student Support Services Worker performs a variety of work related to the support and enhancement of the quality of student life at the university.

Position Duties:

• Complete trainings
• Holding office hours
• Grading
• Assisting in 30-person lab sessions
• Leading study sessions
• Tutoring
• Attending weekly meetings
• Copying materials for the course
• Entering scores into Canvas
• Mentoring and supporting other students
• Other tasks as needed by the supervising Instructor

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

• High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
• Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term\*
• Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
• Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term\*

\*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (https://internationalservices.oregonstate.edu/) (OIS) and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Working Conditions/Schedule:
