Position Details

The Communications and Events Intern is a part-time paid position in the Marketing & Communications Office at UC Blue Ash College. Candidates for this position should be pursuing a degree in communication, marketing, public relations or a related field.

Essential Functions and Skills

  • Assist with communications projects that include a weekly e-newsletter (during the fall and spring semesters), feature stories and social media content.
  • Assist with our official social media sites, including content ideas and creation.
  • Help with planning and execution of a variety of campus events, including signature events.
  • Manage and schedule event requests through scheduling software.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, external agencies, and other university departments.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Student Schedule Details

The Communications and Events Intern is a paid position. The person in this role will work approximately 10 - 15 hours/week with some flexibility in their schedule based on events and projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • The candidate must be enrolled in classes at UC at least part time or will be enrolled in an upcoming semester.
  • The candidate must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
