About the Program
The Chernoff Newman internship program aims to offer a well-rounded experience that includes a deep dive of agency life. Chernoff Newman's interns do not simply fetch coffee or stuff envelopes; they are immersed in our client and agency business work. The program offers three internships each year in the fall, spring and summer semesters, aligning with the applicant's schedule (school or other).
Role
Chernoff Newman is looking for copywriter intern applicants who are fascinated with the ad industry, are looking to hone their copy and ideation skills, and are generally curious about culture interns at Chernoff Newman will have many opportunities to grow and learn, and the agency also expects to learn and grow from the intern's experiences and interests. The selected candidate will work in-person at the Columbia, Charleston, or Charlotte office.
Responsibilities
- Concepting (idea development and brainstorming sessions)
- Copy support/shadowing of agency Copywriters
- Attending internal meetings (briefings, brainstorming sessions, reviews)
Qualifications
- An interest in marketing/advertising, a related degree, or portfolio of work
- Curiosity and a collaborative spirit
Work Schedule and Compensation
Applicants are expected to work 15-20 hours each week and are compensated $12/hour.
