About the role
Main Objective:
To learn about the various aspects of corporate communications with a focus on community, university and employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating various community engagement efforts including campus tours, educational programs/seminars and speaking engagements.
- Manage the Employee Event Ticket Distribution and Employee Years of Service Traveling Flag Programs.
- Support communications through promoting Corporate Engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Florida Gulf Coast University to support the planning of the Medical Device Industry courses.
- Assist with ad hoc events including Arthrex Educational Seminars and Employee Networking.
- Support various marketing projects and tasks, as needed, including team surveys and meeting coordination.
Education and Experience:
- Progress towards a college degree required, preferably in Communications or Public Relations. A college senior preferred. *(Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)*
- Strong communication and customer service skills required.
- Excellent time management and project organization skills required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
