About the role

Role

We're hiring a Data Operations Intern to help us recruit, onboard, manage, and support contributors across active data collection projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, fast, and comfortable working across people, databases, tools, and messy operational details.

What You'll Do

  • Recruit and onboard contributors across different languages, countries, and communities
  • Help manage active data collection projects, including audio recording and transcription workflows
  • Track contributor progress, quality, payments, and project completion targets
  • Communicate with contributors daily to answer questions, resolve issues, and keep projects moving
  • Find creative channels for sourcing contributors, including communities, referrals, job boards, and local groups
  • Review operational data to identify bottlenecks, inactive contributors, quality issues, and languages that need more supply
  • Help design and run incentive programs, referral campaigns, and deadline-based bonuses
  • Build lightweight processes, trackers, and playbooks so successful workflows can be repeated

You Might Be a Fit If You

  • Are highly organized and can keep track of many moving pieces at once
  • Respond quickly and communicate clearly
  • Are comfortable doing hands-on operational work, including repetitive tasks when needed
  • Like working with people and can manage contributors professionally
  • Care about quality and can spot when something is off

Bonus Points

  • Experience recruiting, managing, or growing communities
  • Experience with data labeling, transcription, audio, linguistics, research, or marketplace operations
  • Ability to use AI coding tools to automate workflows
  • Experience running ads, referral programs, campus outreach, or gig-worker recruiting

About This Role

This is a practical operations role. You'll work directly on real client projects, help scale contributor supply, and learn how high-quality data collection systems are built from the ground up.
