Clinical Research Assistant II within the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Pediatrics at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville, PA.
Position Overview
This position is for a research assistant to participate in a type 1 diabetes research program focused on designing, testing, and implementing patient and provider-facing interventions and tools that maximize innovative technology to optimize outcomes for every child with type 1 diabetes. The research assistant would participate in a variety of research studies spanning mixed methods, human-centered design, and cohort studies.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct research assessments and procedures independently
- Oversee operations when leadership is unavailable
- Recruit and screen participants
- Review records and surveys
- Maintain databases
- Perform routine data analysis
- Prepare reports, data visualizations, and models
- Participate in regulatory activities
- Collect and manage quantitative data
- Collect and analyze qualitative data
- Process participant payments
- Participate in community engagement activities
Essential Functions
Specific activities will include: regulatory activities, participant recruitment, consenting, quantitative data collection and management, qualitative data collection and analysis, participant payments, and community engagement activities.

Light.
Work Schedule
Hours will be generally set during business hours to facilitate recruitment during clinic visits. Some evenings may be requested to assist with community engagement activities.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.

Minimum Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 1 year of experience
- Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/or experience requirement

- Current TB test
