INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY WITH THE DÉLÉGATION GÉNÉRALE DU QUÉBEC IN NEW YORK – Fall 2026 POSITION: Economic Affairs Intern LOCATION: New York City, NY 10020 DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION: Inaugurated in 1940, the Délégation générale du Québec in New York is Québec’s primary office in the US. Serving the Mid-Atlantic, it promotes the interests of Québec in trade, investment, science and technology, environment and energy, education, and culture. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Under the supervision of the commercial attaches and the business development assistant, assist in organizing meetings, events (conferences, receptions, etc.) and trade missions, specifically with logistics, outreach, event programs, briefing materials, and note-taking Identify relevant US decision-makers, buyers, and potential partners (including company names and business units, titles, contact information, etc.) for use when positioning Québec companies Assist in preparing marketing and communication tools (slides, flyers, brochures, podcasts, invitations, LinkedIn, outreach, and ads, etc.) Monitor market trends, events, and opportunities, online or in-person, that may be of interest to Québec companies (conferences, store checks, trade shows) and report the results Perform data entry in the CRM and other relevant reporting systems Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative economic and policy data sets and transform them into tailored project trackers and communication products Prepare analytical notes on matters relating to Québec priorities in the territory covered by the DGQNY and in line with the objectives of the Québec government’s international vision Participate in certain events as a representative of the DGQNY and prepare reports During official visits, assist in preparing the official mission booklet, provide logistical support at in-person events, and assist in developing a communications plan, etc.
Perform research and update documents Other related tasks Intern’s duties and projects may undergo some changes depending on the needs of the organization. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder Strong research and writing skills in English AND French Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Experience in sales/business development, economics, finance, politics, or international relations is considered an asset Full time student returning for a full year after completion of internship HOURS: 21-35 hours per week; full day attendance required on days of an event DATES: Internship starts in Se ptember2026 for a duration of 12 weeks SALARY: 17.00 USD per hour DEADLINE TO APPY: August 15, 2026 This is a Hybrid remote job that combines on-site work with some remote flexibility.
