Responsibilities

• Assist in researching, fact-checking, and writing compelling articles and news stories that adhere to AP style guidelines.
• Support the creation of social media content across various platforms, including writing posts, editing videos, and managing schedules.
• Contribute to video content production by filming, editing, and producing short videos for digital and broadcast use.
• Help with content editing and proofreading to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all published materials.
• Collaborate with team members on story development, research projects, and multimedia campaigns.
• Participate in newsroom activities such as story brainstorming sessions and editorial meetings.
• Support broadcast journalism efforts by assisting with videography for news segments and editing footage for television broadcast.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a journalism, communications, media studies or related program.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging stories.
• Experience with social media platforms and managing digital content effectively.
• Knowledge of AP style and journalistic writing standards.
• Basic video production skills including filming, editing (using tools like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut), and video content production.
• Familiarity with photography, videography, and television broadcast editing is highly desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to support diverse storytelling efforts.
• Excellent research skills with attention to detail for fact-checking and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
