About the role
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D environments and supporting assets (props, structures, landscapes, and maritime elements) using industry-standard tools.
- Model, unwrap, texture, and light scenes optimized for real-time engines.
- Collaborate with the team on environment layout, scene composition, and asset integration.
- Assist in the development of both large-scale environments and individual 3D assets as needed.
- Maintain a creative yet professional approach while meeting project deadlines and following established art pipelines and guidelines.
- Provide creative input, participate in reviews, and iterate based on feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in environment art and real-time rendering.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proficiency in **Blender** (Maya, Houdini, or Substance Painter experience is a strong substitute).
- Experience with **Unreal Engine** (Unity experience is acceptable).
- Solid understanding of 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, lighting, and scene composition.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A web portfolio showcasing 3D environments, props, or related assets.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with maritime, military, or simulation-themed projects.
- Understanding of optimization principles for real-time performance.
- Knowledge of lighting principles and scene composition for immersive experiences.
- Strong communication skills.

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
