About the role
The Environmental Summer Intern will support the Corporate Environmental Team in finalizing the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) across all Dal-Tile manufacturing facilities in the United States. This internship provides hands-on experience in environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and operational integration within a manufacturing environment. This internship is structured as a project-based experience to be completed within the 12-week program. This position is located at the Dallas Corporate office and is an onsite internship opportunity. This is not a remote role. The selected intern will present project outcomes at our annual **Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.**

- **Required:** Must be available for the full program duration and attend/present at Intern Expo Day
Project Scope & Responsibilities
The purpose of this internship is to support the finalization and implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) across U.S. manufacturing facilities. The intern will:
- Assist in documenting environmental procedures, operational controls, and compliance workflows across production processes
- Conduct data collection and analysis related to environmental programs, waste streams, and emissions
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and EHS teams to integrate environmental and sustainability practices into daily manufacturing activities
- Help prepare audit-ready documentation and compliance materials for EMS rollout
- Support development of training materials and environmental performance metrics
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen environmental performance
Project Impact

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus
