About the role

The Anti-Trafficking Community Engagement Intern supports the Florida Anti-Trafficking team. You will help build connections between the community and our programs in Miami and Tallahassee. These efforts secure monetary, in-kind, and volunteer resources for survivors of trafficking. You will work alongside the Safety and Wellness Program Manager to meet client needs and maintain donor match compliance.

What you'll do

  • Support resource development through event planning, fundraising, external communications, and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate data across internal databases.
  • Collect and record information on community engagement prospects.
  • Represent the team at information sessions and community events.
  • Participate in staff meetings and development programs.
  • Log your internship hours on the volunteer portal.

What you'll need

  • An interest in international affairs and issues affecting refugees and immigrants.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective writing and communication abilities.
  • Initiative to follow through on projects.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
  • You must pass a background check.

Location & details

  • This is an on-site, unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
  • Positions are located in Miami, FL and Tallahassee, FL.
  • You must commit to at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 consecutive months.
