Role Description

The Fall Intern at CYTO | PHL will support day-to-day operations related to event planning and venue management. Typical responsibilities include assisting with event setup and breakdown, helping coordinate logistics with vendors and clients, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of event spaces. The intern will also support administrative tasks such as updating schedules, organizing event materials, and responding to basic inquiries. Additional duties may include supporting marketing efforts, such as gathering content for social media or helping with promotional materials. This is an internship role, on-site at CYTO | PHL in Philadelphia, PA, and offers hands-on experience in event operations and hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Interest in event planning, hospitality, or venue management, with a willingness to learn and take on varied operational tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple responsibilities during events.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, clients, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Comfort with basic administrative tasks and use of common digital tools (email, spreadsheets, shared calendars); social media familiarity is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Philadelphia, PA, including occasional evening or weekend availability based on event schedules.
  • Reliable, proactive, and collaborative mindset; prior customer service or event experience is helpful but not required.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a college or vocational program; fields such as communications, hospitality, design, or business are beneficial but not mandatory.
