About This Role
The Sync & Publishing Intern will assist our sync and publishing team in identifying licensing opportunities, organizing our music catalog, and building relationships with music supervisors and licensing professionals. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the business side of music and interested in sync licensing.
This is a remote internship opportunity with potential for growth within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Research sync licensing opportunities in film, TV, advertising, and gaming
- Assist with organizing and tagging music catalog for sync pitching
- Help prepare pitch packages for music supervisors and sync agencies
- Track sync placements and maintain placement databases
- Research music supervisors, ad agencies, and production companies
- Monitor industry trends in sync licensing and publishing
- Assist with metadata management and rights documentation
- Support the team with administrative tasks related to publishing
Requirements
- Strong interest in sync licensing and music publishing
- Understanding of music rights (masters, publishing, PROs)
- Excellent organizational and research skills
- Attention to detail for metadata and documentation
- Familiarity with music supervision and licensing workflows
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
