First Born Entertainment
First Born Entertainment is an independent record label and entertainment company dedicated to discovering, developing, and empowering the next generation of artists. We specialize in artist development, music distribution, digital marketing, branding, and creative strategy. We're looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who want real, hands-on experience, not just busy work. Interns will work directly with label leadership and gain exposure to every aspect of operating an independent record label.
What You'll Do
As a Music Industry Intern, you'll assist across several departments including:
Marketing & Social Media
- Create and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, X, and YouTube
- Brainstorm viral marketing ideas and campaign concepts
- Monitor social media analytics and prepare performance reports
- Assist with release rollouts and promotional campaigns
Artist Development
- Help organize release calendars
- Research playlist opportunities, blogs, influencers, and media outlets
- Support branding, storytelling, and audience growth strategies
- Assist with fan engagement initiatives
Label Operations
- Organize digital assets and project files
- Maintain spreadsheets and internal databases
- Assist with distribution preparation and metadata organization
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks
Creative Projects
- Assist with graphic design, short-form video editing, and promotional materials (experience preferred but not required)
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for artist campaigns
- Attend virtual meetings and contribute creative ideas
Qualifications
- Passion for music and the music industry
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube
- Basic knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Experience with Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Music Business, Marketing, Communications, or Media majors are encouraged to apply (not required)
