About Us

At Volvo Group, we believe the choices we make today shape the world we live in tomorrow. With transport solutions that connect people and communities, we are committed to driving change towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and responsible future.

Corporate Responsibility is at the heart of this journey. As our central sustainability team, we work closely with colleagues across the globe to embed human rights, responsible business practices, and ethical decision-making into everything we do.

Internship Description

Are you passionate about making a real-world impact? Do you want to be part of shaping how a global company works with human rights in practice?

We are now looking for an engaged and structured intern to support the Human Rights team. You will work closely with senior specialists and contribute to strengthening the Volvo Group's human rights due diligence framework, governance structures, and communication efforts.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in implementing international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines in a global company context.

You will get hands-on experience, meaningful responsibilities, and the opportunity to contribute to projects that matter, while working closely with experienced professionals in an open and supportive team environment.

The location for this internship is Gothenburg, Sweden.

The internship period is 4-6 months (flexible) and will start September/October 2026.

What You Will Work On

  • Shape how we work: help develop blueprints for key governance forums
  • Communicate what matters: create engaging communication materials for our human rights agenda
  • Visualize impact: develop ideas for how we communicate our salient human rights risks
  • Be part of the team: support governance meetings and collaboration
  • Make a difference: contribute to our work on heightened Human Rights Due Diligence

Who You Are

  • You have a strong interest in human rights, sustainability and responsible business
  • You are currently studying (or recently graduated) in a relevant field such as human rights, law, political science, or business
  • You are analytical and enjoy structuring complex topics and turning them into clear messages and actions
  • You enjoy project work and coordination
  • You are a strong communicator in English, both written and spoken
  • You are proactive, curious, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of UNGPs, OECD Guidelines, or EU regulations is a plus

What You Will Gain

In this internship, you will gain practical experience in human rights due diligence, governance, and communication in a global company. You will build skills that are highly relevant for a future career in sustainability, policy, or international business—and most importantly, you will contribute to work that has real impact.
