Now Hiring - Day & Night 12 hour Shifts
We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA I/GNAs) for our Long-Term Care departments with both day and night shift opportunities available.
Openings Are Available In
- Hall 1 - Sub-Acute Rehabilitation & Long-Term Care
- Hall 2 - Long-Term Care
- Burk 1 - Pulmonary Long-Term Care
- Burk 2 - Ventilator Care Unit
- Households - Person-Centered Long-Term Care
What You'll Do
As a CNA I/GNA you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities include:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Obtain and document vital signs and report changes in condition
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning using Hoyer lifts and specialty equipment as needed
- Support resident safety and infection prevention practices
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents and their families
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current Maryland CNA I Certification (formerly GNA under the Maryland Board of Nursing)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Completion of annual nursing skills competencies
Preferred
- Less than one year of healthcare experience (newly certified CNA I candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Familiarity with medical terminology, Hoyer lifts, specialty beds, communication devices, and electronic documentation systems such as HealthStream
