Job Overview

Are you a passionate and creative individual looking to kick-start your graphic design career? We are seeking a talented Graphic Design Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the exciting and fast-paced world of design. Our Intern will work alongside the in-house Creative Services & Marketing teams to create visuals for our product launches, marketing campaigns, social media & more!

Joining the in-house Creative Services team at Midwestern Pet Foods will be an exciting venture day in and day out.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create graphics for print & digital advertisements, as well as sales & marketing collateral: digital banner ads, info sheets, sell sheets, brochures, etc.
  • Make edits to current packaging artwork: pet food & treat bags, boxes, tubs & cans.
  • Design monthly email blasts, following our brand standards.
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to fulfill social media content requests.
  • Assist with photo/video shoots involving people & pets.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing graphic design, visual communications, or another related field of work.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, strongly focused on Illustrator & Photoshop.
  • Experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects is a plus.
  • Basic use and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Knowledge and interest in photography/video production is a plus.
  • Passionate about pets (preferred).
  • Relating to the brand is helpful in this industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
  • High degree of self-initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
