Clean Water Action is hiring interns for our Fall 2026 organizing team in Minneapolis. This role focuses on community health and corporate accountability. You will gain hands-on experience in grassroots advocacy, fundraising, and public mobilization while working with experienced staff. We provide full training in canvassing and campaign issues, so no prior experience is required.
What you'll do
- Canvass door-to-door to talk with the public about environmental and social justice campaigns.
- Recruit new members and mobilize supporters for our advocacy efforts.
- Raise funds to help sustain our work.
- Gather postcards, letters, and calls to lawmakers to support our policy goals.
- Keep accurate records and work as part of a motivated team.

Location & details
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 9:30 pm.
- Commitment: Part-time (3 to 4 days) or full-time (5 days).
- Compensation: $20 per hour ($19 per hour during the 10-day training period) plus daily performance bonuses.
