Healthcare Intern, Mental Health

Responsibilities

Bloomington Meadows Hospital will provide students with the opportunity to learn and practice skills in the areas of needs assessment, client engagement, clinical documentation, and making community referrals. Students will also have the opportunity to practice their clinical skills in face‑to‑face counseling sessions with clients in a strengths‑based, client‑centered setting. Students will receive weekly supervision with a licensed professional in their area of study. The Intern at Bloomington Meadows Hospital will provide a clinical perspective in an interdisciplinary setting, provide screening & initial intakes and provide case management services to a designated caseload of mentally ill and behaviorally challenged clients living in the community.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a graduate program for social work, counseling or other related field and has met the requirements to participate in a practicum/internship.
• Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling or other related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Successful completion of background and drug screenings
