About the role

HR Intern — LYT Ventures Location: Miami, FL (hybrid) Type: Unpaid internship, part-time (15–20 hrs/week) Duration: [3–6 months] Reports to: Founder About LYT Ventures LYT Ventures is a Miami-based venture builder. We design, launch, and operate digital-first companies across real estate, hospitality, and home services — including Markondo (B2B real estate marketplace), Seven & Up (extended-stay booking), and GarageHero (garage door services). We run lean, move fast, and automate everything we can.

You'll work directly with the founder and see how a multi-venture company actually gets built and staffed. The role You'll own the day-to-day people operations that keep a lean, multi-venture team running — and help build the HR foundation from scratch as we grow. This is a hands-on, high-ownership internship: you'll ship real processes, not shadow someone who does.

What you'll do Recruiting: Write and post job descriptions, source candidates (LinkedIn, job boards, communities), screen resumes, schedule interviews, and keep the pipeline moving across all ventures. Onboarding/offboarding: Build and run onboarding checklists — accounts, tools, docs, first-week plans — so new hires and contractors are productive on day one. HR systems & documentation: Set up and maintain our people directory, contractor records, and policy docs.

Automate repetitive workflows (offer letters, onboarding emails, reminders) wherever possible. Compliance basics: Help organize contractor agreements, NDAs, I-9/W-9 collection, and Florida/federal requirements for a small employer. Employer brand: Draft careers-page copy, LinkedIn posts, and outreach templates that reflect how we work.

Team ops: Coordinate check-ins, gather feedback, track PTO/availability, and flag issues early. Who you are Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in HR, business, psychology, communications, or related field Organized and reliable — you close loops without being chased Clear, direct writer in English; Hebrew is a plus Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Notion/Airtable, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ATS platforms — or eager to pick them up fast Bias toward building systems over doing things manually twice Discreet with confidential information Genuinely interested in startups and how small teams scale Nice to have Prior HR, recruiting, or people-ops experience (internship or club-level counts) Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Make) or AI tools for drafting and screening

Experience with contractor/remote workforces What you'll get Direct mentorship from the founder and exposure to multiple live ventures Real ownership: processes you build will be the ones we use Portfolio of concrete deliverables (hiring playbook, onboarding system, policy set) Unpaid position with flexible scheduling around classes Potential to grow into a full-time People Ops role as the team expands LYT Ventures is an equal opportunity employer.
