Role
The purpose of this internship position, while under the direction of IT staff, is to support organization technology needs and develop practical technical skills in the IT field.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist with daily technical operations and support activities alongside IT staff
- Gain hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment
- Be exposed to technical support, hardware and software troubleshooting, network operations, cybersecurity practices and IT administration
- Respond to questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via telephone, e-mail, and personal contact
- Log questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via call tracking software
- Perform related work as assigned
Supplemental Information
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
