About the role

The Innovation & Design Intern supports the Global Innovation & Design Center as they equip program teams to apply human-centered design. You will work with teams globally to solve problems and improve program outcomes. This role reports to the Director of Innovation & Design and requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position that provides a monthly stipend to help with expenses.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the development of a partner-facing data management system.
  • Help with intervention lifecycle development.
  • Support innovation events and brainstorming sessions.
  • Synthesize and analyze qualitative data sets.
  • Provide administrative support for the department and the broader organization.

What you'll need

  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study.
  • At least one prior professional internship or significant leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in research, writing, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
  • Capacity to work effectively across different cultures and time zones.
  • A mature orthodox Christian faith.

  • Location: Washington, DC.
  • Modality: Hybrid (onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays) or fully in-person.
  • Term: January 11 to April 9, 2027.
  • Majors: Communications, Human Resources, Data Science, Business Administration, or Political Science.
