Position: Insurance Intern, Summer 2027 Gain real-world business, risk management, and insurance experience Apply classroom concepts through project work and client interaction Develop professional skills for a career in insurance Gain exposure to account management and benefits analysis Analyze client information Research ad-hoc projects Participate in carrier field trips Attend lunch and learn sessions and industry webinars Work with managers, mentors, other interns, multiple teams, and industry partners Support actual clients while learning insurance programs Deliver a final group presentation to the senior leadership team
Requirements Cumulative GPA 3.0 minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required Students entering their senior year toward a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree preferred Majors in Risk and Insurance Management, Finance, or a keen interest in insurance, risk management, or financial consulting Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Applied knowledge of communication, interpersonal relationship management, versatility, and creativity Resolution and solution-oriented Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to work effectively in a team environment Core Competencies Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while gaining practical experience in insurance and risk management. Proficient in communication and interpersonal relationship management, with a focus on teamwork and client interaction.
