About the role

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

  • Support the Automotive Design team with design proposals for BMW Group brands.
  • Support all other Designworks teams with pitch work to create new business opportunities.
  • Support the visualization team in creating internal and external presentations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • US Work Authorization required.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
  • Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.

WHAT AWAITS YOU.

  • Support the Automotive Design team with design proposals for BMW Group brands.
  • Support all other Designworks teams with pitch work to create new business opportunities.
  • Support the visualization team in creating internal and external presentations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
  • US Work Authorization required.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
  • Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week).
  • Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

  • Field of Study: Transportation/Automotive/Industrial Design.
  • Business fluent English.
  • Portfolio required showing process from sketching to final concept.
  • Strong 2D and 3D visual communication skills (sketching, rendering, modeling etc. Proficient in Adobe suite).
  • Strong understanding of form, proportion, materials and ergonomics.
  • Working knowledge of 3D modelling and rendering software (Solidworks, Rhino, Blender, Keyshot, Alias etc.).
  • Good verbal and written presentation skills, research synthesis and visual storytelling, proficient in MS Suite (Power Point).
  • Soft skills: conceptual thinking, team collaboration, receiving feedback, and working across disciplines.
  • Experience with AI tools and Workflows (Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Runway, ComfyUI, chatGPT, etc.).
  • Preference:
  • Experience with Figma/collaboration tools.
