We are seeking a passionate and energetic Intern to join our educational team. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring music educators to gain hands-on experience in teaching, lesson planning, and classroom management across diverse age groups. As an intern, you will be engaging students in dynamic music lessons, fostering creativity, and nurturing a love for music. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop their teaching skills while making a positive impact on students' musical journeys.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging music lessons tailored to students' skill levels and interests
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to reinforce musical instrument and techniques
- Contribute to lesson planning by preparing instructional resources and practice exercises
- Work with children, teenagers, or adult learners, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs
Skills
- Strong interest in music education, with knowledge of various musical styles and instruments
- Experience or training in curriculum development and lesson planning (not required, but encouraged)
- Effective teaching and tutoring skills across different age groups and skill levels
- Experience working with children, preschoolers, or adults in educational settings
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and childhood development
- Skills in photography, theater, dancing, ballet, sewing or culinary arts are a plus for integrating creative activities into lessons
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds
