Role
Montauk AI is an AI-native investment bank focused on home-based care. The firm combines software, data, and execution to help operators Operate. Optimize. Exit. This internship is a high-impact, hands-on role supporting live M&A transactions. Interns work directly with senior bankers and gain exposure to the full deal lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Support live M&A transactions from initial outreach through closing
- Assist in preparing pitch materials, CIMs, and buyer lists
- Conduct market and buyer research across private equity and strategic acquirers
- Build and update financial models and forecasts
- Analyze revenue, cost structure, and EBITDA performance
- Help manage data rooms and diligence requests
- Track deal activity, outreach, and timelines
- Work with internal tools to organize and interpret financial data
Qualifications
- Undergraduate (junior/senior) or graduate student
- Strong interest in investment banking, private equity, or healthcare
- Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Clear, professional communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
