About the role
Nepternship is connecting qualified students with a potential investment banking summer analyst opportunity at a bulge bracket investment bank in New York for Summer 2027. A role would offer hands-on exposure to M&A advisory, capital markets execution, and financial modeling across active live deal teams. Interns could work directly alongside associates, vice presidents, and managing directors and gain real-world experience in investment banking that goes well beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth industry research, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction screens to support active M&A and capital markets mandates
- Draft pitch books, management presentations, and client memoranda for review by senior bankers
- Assist with financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence across live transactions
- Prepare materials for client meetings, bake-offs, and deal closings
- Collaborate with product and coverage teams on transaction strategy and client communication
Qualifications:
- Finance, Economics, or Accounting major (rising junior for Summer 2027)
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
- Familiarity with valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable companies)
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
