Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to support our Information Technology department. This internship provides hands-on experience in day-to-day IT operations, user support, and foundational cybersecurity and infrastructure tasks. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable with technology, and interested in building a career in IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Help Desk and technical support for end users (Hardware, Software, and basic network issues)
- Set up, configure, and deploy workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Learn to manage/support Microsoft Azure accounts, permissions, and password resets
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and asset inventory
- Assist with software updates, patching, and system maintenance
- Support basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, printers, VPN)
- Follow IT security policies and assist with cybersecurity best practices
- Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned, including possible involvement in AI
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and grow with a good attitude
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with common hardware and peripherals
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure / Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Interest in cybersecurity or IT administration
- Previous help desk, lab, or personal IT experience
- CompTIA ITF+, A+, or similar coursework/certifications (or in progress)
