Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Survey Technician to join our dynamic surveying team. In this vital role, you will assist in collecting, analyzing, and documenting land data to support construction, engineering, and land development projects. Your expertise will help ensure precise measurements and accurate mapping, contributing to the successful completion of complex projects. Responsibilities
- Conduct land surveys using GPS, total stations, 3D scanners, and other survey equipment to gather accurate spatial data.
- Perform utility locating to identify underground utilities and prevent project delays or hazards.
- Collect data for topographic mapping, boundary determination, and construction layout using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Carlson.
- Assist in drafting schematics, site plans, and detailed drawings with Revit and CAD tools to support project designs.
- Utilize GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and land information management.
- Analyze collected data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness; prepare detailed reports for project teams.
- Support construction teams by providing precise measurements and layout instructions based on survey data.
Experience
- Prior experience in land surveying or civil engineering environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with survey-related software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and GIS applications is highly desirable.
- Practical understanding of GPS technology, data collection methods, schematics interpretation, and construction processes.
- Ability to operate survey instruments such as total stations and 3D scanners confidently in diverse field conditions.
- Excellent data analysis skills with attention to detail; capable of performing heavy lifting when necessary during field operations.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting survey findings clearly.

Schedule
- Hours: 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30-12:00 on Friday
- 8 hour days (More can be needed)
- Monday to Friday
