Role

Under direction of the Shift Supervisor, and in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, the Lead Sterile Processing Tech directs the daily activities of the department's respective area staff to fulfill various ancillary functions such as the processing of used surgical instrumentation, assembling, and wrapping packs, restocking areas. Additional responsibilities may include ordering, receiving and dispensing supplies and equipment. Update, modify, and add instruments and instrument sets to the existing inventory utilizing the Tracking System. Assist with orienting and precepting new employees as well as student Interns. Perform cleaning, assembling, preparation and sterilization, along with all other normal technician duties in Central Sterile Processing as directed.

The Registered Nurse functions as a member of the healthcare team in a manner consistent with their scope of practice in Pennsylvania in concert with policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of care provided, and patient response to interventions.

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED

  • IAHCSMM Cert or CBSPD Cert within 6 months of hire
