We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to work directly with our General Counsel and gain hands-on experience supporting a dynamic in-house legal department. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student interested in corporate, commercial, real estate, employment, regulatory, and litigation matters within a fast-paced business environment.
Position Summary
The Legal Intern will work closely with the General Counsel to assist with a wide range of legal and business matters impacting the company's operations. The successful candidate will gain meaningful exposure to in-house legal practice and will be entrusted with substantive legal research, drafting, compliance, and transactional support responsibilities. You must be a second - third-year Law Student or recent graduate. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. This position is fully in-office at our West Midtown Atlanta headquarters.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on corporate, employment, real estate, regulatory, and commercial law issues.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, leases, vendor agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.
- Support litigation management, including document collection, organization, and coordination with outside counsel.
- Assist with compliance initiatives involving federal, state, and local regulations.
- Review and summarize legal correspondence, pleadings, and regulatory filings.
- Maintain legal records, contract databases, and corporate governance documents.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and legal communications for management.
- Participate in special projects involving acquisitions, real estate development, employment matters, risk management, and business operations.
- Provide administrative and project support to the General Counsel as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school ( 2L, or 3L).
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Preferred
- Interest in corporate law, commercial transactions, real estate, employment law, or regulatory compliance.
- Previous legal, corporate, or compliance internship experience.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
