**Position:** Machinist Internship IL
**Location:** Oregon per hour

Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various types of machine tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, etc., selecting proper feeds and speeds
- Work from drawings, sketches and verbal instructions to make components
- Work to close tolerances
- Use precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work
- Perform hand operations such as filing, fitting, tapping, etc.
- Keep work area and equipment clean
- Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be an active student enrolled in a machinist program at an accredited college
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic mathematic skills
- Some knowledge of precision measuring devices preferred
- Some knowledge of reading blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings preferred
- Some knowledge of Machine Shop practices is a plus
- Attention to detail a must
- Safety minded
