About the Role
The Marketing Associate Intern is an active member of the Marketing team, contributing to projects that support LaFrance’s account development efforts and broader business initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of marketing activities, including content creation, digital outreach, industry and account research, marketing collateral, product photography, and creative campaign execution.
Working closely with Marketing Associates and participating in industry team meetings, the intern will gain exposure to how marketing, research, creativity, and business strategy work together to support our customers and identify new opportunities. The role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningful work while developing practical marketing and business experience.
Success in this role requires someone who is creative, curious, organized, and motivated to learn. The ideal candidate will take initiative, contribute ideas, manage both short- and long-term priorities, and be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with the team.
What You’ll Do
- Create content and explore new tools for digital outreach, including the use of AI platforms and applications to develop videos, presentations, GIFs, and other resources that support targeting and account development.
- Develop and enhance marketing collateral used by our Account Development team.
- Create physical display boards that highlight industry trends, marketplace sightings, product spotlights, and other relevant content.
- Conduct research on trends in design, branding, and business strategy within existing and target industries and accounts.
- Work alongside Marketing Associates to support the execution of creative marketing campaigns and department initiatives.
- Assist with preparation for customer and industry trips, including display setup, organization, and packaging of materials.
- Create industry-specific and business unit-focused email communications.
- Support the organization and inventory management of industry-specific marketing materials.
- Photograph products for use in digital content, presentations, and physical marketing displays.
- Participate in industry team meetings, capture key takeaways, and assist with follow-up activities as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Current GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- A creative and curious mindset with an interest in marketing, branding, and business.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance short-term priorities and longer-term projects.
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to set goals and develop thoughtful plans to achieve them.
- Strong computer skills, including Canva and Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Filmora or other video editing software is a plus.
