Role Description
The Music Marketing Intern is a part-time role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. This intern will support the day-to-day marketing efforts for Refined Rebel & Co. and its clients by discovering emerging artists, researching music and entertainment trends, creating and publishing content for the client websites, and assisting with marketing campaigns across multiple accounts. The role includes identifying artists, entrepreneurs, and brands for editorial features, maintaining website content, assisting with artist outreach, coordinating interviews and digital features, and supporting social media, public relations, and brand partnership initiatives. The intern will also assist with content creation, research, campaign execution, and administrative tasks that support the agency's marketing efforts.
In addition to marketing responsibilities, the intern will support Refined Rebel & Co.'s live events throughout Atlanta, including networking mixers, happy hours, dinner parties, music showcases, and brand activations. Responsibilities include event setup, guest check-in and registration, attendee experience, vendor coordination, and on-site event support.
Qualifications
- Must be 21+
- Demonstrated interest in music marketing, artist development, entertainment marketing, public relations, or brand strategy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional email and messaging etiquette
- Knowledge of the music industry, current trends, and emerging artists
- Experience creating content for websites, blogs, or social media platforms
- Strong research, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, and social media platforms (experience with website content management systems is a plus)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Relevant coursework or experience in Marketing, Communications, Music Business, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred
Requirements
- Must be based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
- Must have reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle
- Must have access to a personal laptop
- Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends for live events
- Passion for music, entertainment, marketing, and building meaningful relationships within the creative community
