**Location:** Richmond, Virginia (in-person/hybrid)
**Schedule:** Part-time, ~10 hours/week (150 hours total over the semester)
**Duration:** August – December, 2026 (Fall 2026 semester)
**Compensation:** College credit only (150 hours / 3 credits)
About the Role
At Brand Gloss, we help small businesses become the ones people can't stop talking about, and we're looking for an intern who's excited to see how that comes to fruition. This is a hands-on internship that takes place inside our Richmond photo studio, at client locations, and hybrid working on your own — working alongside a small, tight-knit team on real client content and projects. You'll leave with portfolio work, new skill sets, and a new outlook on what it takes to make great content. We're drawn to good energy, curious minds, and people who aren't afraid to think differently.
What You'll Do
Social Media Management
- Create, manage, and publish engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms
- Help build and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing goals
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages
- Track and report on social media and campaign performance
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Shoot and edit photo and video content, including short-form video and B-roll
- Support content creation and posting for client accounts
- Bring strong visual and brand storytelling to everything you make
Market & Trend Research
- Research industry trends, competitors, and emerging platforms
- Compile findings into trend reports to inform content and campaign strategy
Studio & Production Support
- Assist at photoshoots and support day-to-day studio operations
- Help maintain and organize the studio space
Qualifications
- Junior or senior standing; open to VCU students as well as students at other colleges, as long as the internship can be completed for college credit
- Interest in what's trending — social media, culture, and beyond
- Strong attention to detail and a creative outlook
- Experience with Canva
