JOB DESCRIPTION
**About the Position:** The Maryland Democratic Party is seeking an Operations Intern to support the day-to-day functions of the Operations team during the Fall 2026 internship program. This role will provide hands-on experience in administrative operations, office management, and Election Day/GOTV support ahead of the 2026 General Election.
The Operations Intern will play a key role in maintaining an organized and functional office environment while also supporting the Maryland Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign through the final stretch of the 2026 General Election, including Election Day.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with general office administration, including managing shared inboxes, answering phones, and responding to internal requests
- Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with data entry, tracking tools, and internal documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional office environment
- Inventory, organize, and restock office supplies, materials, and equipment
- Track supply levels and support ordering as needed
- On Mondays and/or Fridays, support the Logistics Manager at the MDPCC Headquarters in Bowie, MD, as scheduled
- Support ongoing 2026 Coordinated Campaign operations, including workspace upkeep and materials organization
- Assist with onboarding logistics for incoming staff (desk setup, supplies, system organization)
- Help track and organize operational assets (equipment, supplies, materials)
- Provide logistical support for events, trainings, and meetings (prep, check-in, materials distribution)
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Interest in politics, campaigns, or public service is a plus
