About the role
The Med Ex student internship is a work‑based internship designed to provide patient care experience in a clinical setting, under the appropriate clinical supervision, after successfully completing the prerequisite courses in the Health Science
Education Program of Study. The student is a high school senior selected to participate in the Med Ex program in either Cabell or Wayne County. The student chooses a health career pathway for in-depth study for a Patient Care Technician or a Medical Assistant.
