Role
We are looking for masters level clinical intern who is eager to grow not only in the field of social work but also in their development as therapists. This position is a non paid internship, with stipend reimbursement with a minimum commitment of 22-25 hours per week, with some of those hours afternoon and evening. There may be an opportunity for advancement towards employment, upon graduation. This opportunity is based in the East Valley, at our office location in Chandler, AZ.

LUCA is a private state licensed, outpatient counseling clinic, providing counseling, and community services for children, teenagers, adults, families and couples who struggle with a variety of psychological needs. Our Clinical Directors Katherine, and Clinical Supervisor, Janna McGuire, have a wealth of knowledge of working within the mental health field. They have experience in EMDR, Trauma, DBT, and Narrative Focused Therapy, working with diverse backgrounds. We also have a great Neurofeedback program.
Mission
We at LUCA are here to Lift Up Communities in Arizona, by providing mental health and support services to guide individuals and families towards healing and a new found purpose and fulfillment. Providers at LUCA Counseling & Wellness Center provide treatment for a variety of needs, to include; Trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, OCD, Self-harm, Suicide prevention, and Family and couples counseling. We utilize treatment methods such as, but not limited to; CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT, IFS, Solution-Focused, ART, play, Person-Centered, Strength-Based Approaches and Narrative Therapy.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide in-person services and virtual sessions from the office as needed
- Work with children, teenagers, adults and families
- Provide quality and evidenced based treatment
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Support clients with trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns
