As an intern, you'll be treated just like our entry-level staff. You'll work alongside National Tax Office professionals helping clients navigate the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions. We'll give you the flexibility to craft practical business solutions while developing technical tax and transaction advisory skills.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are excited by deal activity, enjoy analyzing complex tax and business issues, and can effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences. You will gain exposure to transaction advisory services, tax due diligence, and deal structuring while working on projects that help shape client outcomes and business decisions. Consulting on tax issues associated with restructuring, buying, or selling businesses.
Conducting due diligence inquiries into target companies and preparing technical reports. Preparing projections of sell-side after-tax proceeds, buy-side tax benefits, and tax gross-up calculations. Consulting with clients and their attorneys on transaction structuring and drafting tax aspects of agreements.
Reviewing closed transactions to document the terms of legal agreements, tax characterization, and tax attributes to be reported on a tax return. Participating in client-facing discussions and helping communicate technical conclusions to engagement teams. Meaningful interactions with staff at all levels as well as with our impressive repertoire of clients.
Deepening knowledge of tax consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction advisory services through hands‑on experience with sophisticated technical and business issues. The qualifications Detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong interest in mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, and tax consulting.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex topics and communicate conclusions clearly through both written and verbal communication. Ability to balance technical analysis with practical business considerations. Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field; or pursuing a JD or LLM.
Intention to pursue CPA licensure or a JD or LLM Academic success (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0). Prior coursework, experience, or demonstrated interest in mergers and acquisitions, corporate taxation, partnership taxation, transaction advisory services, or business law is preferred.
