Operations Engineering Intern Summer

Our summer internships are full-time (40 hours/week), paid positions lasting 10-11 weeks.

Engineering roles in the Operations engineering group can include manufacturing engineers and process engineers, along with other exciting roles. Examples of work in each of these areas are listed below.

Manufacturing Engineer Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Process Engineer Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.

Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products. Location and Work Model Software Engineering Internships are based in Northridge, CA. All interns must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship.

Interns are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week and participate full time, 40 hours per week, as part of the intern cohort from June 1 through August 13 for semester system programs or June 14 through August 20 for quarter system programs. Must Have: Minimum

Requirements To be considered for a Summer 2027 engineering internship, your resume must clearly demonstrate how you meet each of these basic requirements. Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering major with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029. Ability to participate full time, 40 hours per week, as part of the intern cohort from June 1-August 13 for semester system programs or June 14-August 20 for quarter system programs.

Individuals on temporary visa classifications, including E, F-1 (CPT or OPT), H-1, H-2, L, B, J, or TN, as well as anyone who requires employment sponsorship now or in the future, are not eligible for Mini Med's Summer Internship Program.

Nice to Have A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: C/C++, C#, SQL, Python, Minitab, MATLAB, CAD: Solid Works/Autocad or equivalent Prior work on projects in a team environment Relevant academic project, internship, or lab experience Technical writing skills

Experience with statistics and data analysis or Digital IC Design Theory

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): The Mini Med Internship Program offers an hourly rate of pay that falls within the range of $26.50 to $45.25 per hour. The hourly rate offered will be determined by the position and is subject to variation based on the number of years of school completed.
