Personal Injury Legal Intern — Paid Internship
The Black Law Company is seeking a motivated Personal Injury Legal Intern to assist with the daily handling of personal injury cases. This is a paid internship with the potential to develop into a long-term position for the right candidate. This opportunity is ideal for a college student, recent graduate, or individual interested in becoming a paralegal, legal assistant, or attorney who wants hands-on experience working inside a personal injury law firm.
Responsibilities
- Ordering medical records and medical bills
- Following up with medical providers regarding outstanding records
- Setting up insurance claims
- Contacting insurance companies to obtain claim numbers and adjuster information
- Scheduling client appointments, telephone calls, and meetings
- Organizing client files and case documents
- Uploading documents into the firm's case management system
- Assisting with basic letters and case-related correspondence
- Communicating with clients, medical offices, and insurance representatives
- Tracking records requests and follow-up deadlines
- Supporting the legal team with general administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated
- Interested in becoming a paralegal, legal assistant, or attorney
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Professional, dependable, and reliable
- Comfortable making telephone calls and sending professional emails
- Eager to learn about personal injury law
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately
