Role

Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) seeks a motivated, organized, and hardworking press intern in our Washington, DC office in Fall 2026.

Key Accountabilities

Our press intern will be fully integrated into our communications team and its operations. Their duties may include:

  • Compiling daily news clips
  • Maintaining and updating press lists
  • Transcribing and processing audio
  • Monitoring the news for relevant developments
  • Drafting and editing written materials like press releases, advisories, and newsletters
  • Creating engaging digital content including graphics, videos, and social media copy
  • Supporting the members of the communications team, including at events

Required Skills

Successful candidates will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, a willingness to contribute to a team environment, and an eagerness to learn about communications, the political process, and congressional affairs. Delaware ties are strongly preferred.
