**Position:** Radiography Trainee - Titanium Aerospace Manufacturing (Albany, OR)

**Location:** City of Albany

Summary

The X‑Ray Reader will develop and apply expertise in non‑destructive testing to ensure compliance with the quality standards of the company and its customers. They will interpret radiographic images, document results according to established technique cards, develop shooting techniques as needed, and calibrate equipment. Training will be provided. Essential Functions

  • Perform non‑destructive testing using radiographic images to determine casting quality and pinpoint corrections needed for discrepancies in parts.
  • Utilize instructions for radiographic inspections of castings through technique cards.
  • Evaluate each image to ensure uniform accuracy and image quality.
  • Visually inspect each casting to identify areas that require improvements in casting or welding.
  • Find areas of frequently occurring imperfections and consult engineering or other necessary departments.
  • Endorse radiographic reports authorizing complete and accurate inspections that have been performed and findings documented.
  • Develop shooting techniques as required.
  • Calibrate equipment and inspect radiographic equipment.
  • Other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understand associated documentation and part routing procedures.
  • Maintain high quality ratings while processing parts at an acceptable production speed.
  • Work well under minimal supervision.

Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • HS diploma or equivalent GED required; candidates with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Solid job history including more than 1 year at a previous or recent employer.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre‑employment background check.
  • Willingness to participate in pre‑employment and periodic drug screening.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Team player and self‑motivated.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Compliance with general company attendance standard.

Mental & Physical Demands

  • Vision acuity that meets test chart and color perception to distinguish colors used.
  • Willingness/ability to work outside department as required.

Work Conditions

Work may be performed in noisy areas where odors may be present. Relocation assistance may be available to qualified candidates.

Schedule

Swing Shift Monday‑Thursday ($1.00/hr shift differential). 3 positions open on Swing Shift (Training may be available on a different shift).

Additional Requirements

U.S. person status is required for this position to comply with Arms Export Control and Export Administration Act.
