Blue Room South Recording Studios is a professional audio production facility that has worked with a variety of major-label artists. We're passionate about delivering a top-tier recording studio experience, and we're looking for motivated individuals interested in pursuing a career in audio engineering to join our team as Recording Studio Interns.
Position Overview
This internship is ideal for students or aspiring audio engineers who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional working studio environment. Interns will have to the opportunity to work directly with experienced engineers and have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of day-to-day studio operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and breakdown before and after recording sessions
- Support engineers and assistant engineers during tracking and mixing sessions
- Help maintain the studio's supply stock, cleanliness, and organization of studio gear and workspaces
- Greet and accommodate for clients to ensure a safe and professional environment
- Observe and learn from experienced professionals
Qualifications
- Interest or academic focus in audio engineering, music production, or related fields.
- Basic familiarity with Pro Tools or other digital audio workstations (DAWs) is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced working environment
- Passion for music and audio production
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Available at least 2 days per week (8-hour shifts)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
