Research Engineer Intern, Localization & Mapping team at Plus, focusing on a project to build and validate a closed-loop "long-tail data engine" that improves generic-object detection on a curated long-tail benchmark.
Responsibilities
- Build and validate a closed-loop "long-tail data engine" that improves generic-object detection on a curated long-tail benchmark.
- Establish a measurable long-tail evaluation benchmark from existing logs.
- Build a prototype of the data engine using a combination of simulation tools, automated data mining, and foundation models.
Required Skills
- Pursuing MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- Software design and development experience in Python and C++.
- Experience in 3D computer vision.
Preferred Skills
- Publication record in relevant venues (CVPR, ICLR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, SIGGRAPH, ICRA, IROS, etc.).
Compensation
$19 - $65 an hour. Internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
