The Research Intern will work under the general supervision of Principal Investigator, and in accordance with established.

Essential Functions

  • Collects and codes data.
  • Transfers collected data to code sheets.
  • Prepares data for keypunching / computer input.
  • Documents system changes, informing supervisor of conflicts between coding methods and protocol.
  • Prepares written reports on data, as appropriate.
  • Performs basic research experiments.
  • Assists with analysis of experimental data using basic statistical methods.
  • Performs literature searches.
  • Assists with maintenance of a clean and orderly lab.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Experience

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program 0-1 year required
  • Math, statistics, or programming background of coursework 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic Computer literacy.
  • Attention to Detail.
  • Good Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good Customer service skills.
