**SALARY RANGE:** 15.00 - 15.00 HOURLY

General Summary

The Equipment Assistant is responsible for maintaining respiratory equipment, including cleaning and assembling all equipment in the Respiratory Department. Other related clerical/administrative tasks such as stocking work areas and answering phones may also be requested.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment: Cleans, assembles, and maintains all equipment in the respiratory departments. Properly preparing equipment for patient use. Reclaiming utilized equipment from patient rooms and soil utility closets.
  • Clerical Support: Answering telephones, directing calls, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Respiratory Staff Support: Check oxygen standards throughout assigned campus and retrieve/deliver needed devices and supplies as requested by respiratory therapists.
  • Environmental Support: Keep department orderly including but not limited to stocking, equipment expiration dates, cleaning kitchenette area.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
