Overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated bilingual (Spanish-speaking) School Counselor to join our team for a full-time maternity leave assignment during the 2026/2027 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to support middle school students through academic, social-emotional, and behavioral counseling services in a collaborative educational environment. Requirements
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement required
- Fluent Spanish speaking required
- Previous school-based counseling experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Onsite
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to middle school students
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Maintain student documentation and counseling records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support planning
Interview Process
- (10-15) minute screening call with a Soliant Education Recruiter
- (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school district
- Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.
Work Hours
- Full-Time
- 37.5 hours per week
- August 11, 2026 – November 16, 2026
- 6th–8th Grade Caseload (Approximately 190 Students)
