School Counselor Needed for Fall Semester

Overview

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated bilingual (Spanish-speaking) School Counselor to join our team for a full-time maternity leave assignment during the 2026/2027 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to support middle school students through academic, social-emotional, and behavioral counseling services in a collaborative educational environment. Requirements

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement required
• Fluent Spanish speaking required
• Previous school-based counseling experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Onsite

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to middle school students
• Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Maintain student documentation and counseling records
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and student support planning

Interview Process

• (10-15) minute screening call with a Soliant Education Recruiter
• (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school district
• Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview.

Work Hours

• Full-Time
• 37.5 hours per week
• August 11, 2026 – November 16, 2026
• 6th–8th Grade Caseload (Approximately 190 Students)
• Onsite
