Job Description: SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position will primarily consist of transporting materials, supplies and finished products to designated locations. Essential Functions: · Replenish pick areas by moving boxes from pallet locations to flow racks · Load parcels from conveyor into trailer while keeping up with a fast paced and repetitive carton flow · Stack parcels in a systematic manner that maintains proper weight distribution from side to side and front to back of trailer · Scan each parcel as it is loaded onto the trailer(s) · Inspect and stack off damaged parcels for repacking · Monitor trailer overall parcel and weight limits to ensure minimum weight requirements are met without exceeding maximum weight limits · Sort, lift and stack boxes as well as finished product correctly onto pallets · Transports and load materials, supplies and finished goods (manually and/or using hand jacks or powered industrial trucks) · Safely operates various types of equipment to include but not limited to i.e., box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, etc. · Safely operates machinery to include but not limited to conveyors, tapers, labeler, palletizer and bailers · Must be able to work safely around moving equipment and conveyors · Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors · Must be able to read and comprehend a basic order form and be able to communicate well with others · Work in non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year Other
Responsibilities · Assist in relabeling and packing of reworked parcels · Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment · May work in different areas (departments) in Operations based up business needs · Adheres to facility hours or operation to include overtime and weekends · Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment · Other duties as assigned Starting Salary: 3rd shift = $19.00 an hour + 2.00 shift differential = $21.00 Location: Algoa, McCarty and/or Robinson Road Buildings · Hours for 3rd shift: o Algoa/ East McCarty/Rob Road – Sunday-Thursday = 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. with OT at the end
Qualifications Physical Requirements: · Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. · Must be able to wear steel toe shoes when operating a powered industrial vehicle · Refer to Physical Demand Analysis (PDA) for complete physical requirements
